Motivational skills for First Line Managers

This unit will develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours of the learner in engaging and motivating their teams. The unit will look at theories of motivation and engagement strategies.
ONLINE – 6 April 2027 half day (AM), 20 April 2027 full day
This course has pre-work in the form of a questionnaire which will take approximately 1hr to complete.
You will cover
- Engagement and motivation theories
- Engagement programmes
Key Skills you will develop
- Ability to evaluate theories of engagement and motivation strategies
- Knowledge and understanding of the causes of dissatisfaction and demotivation
- Ability to plan and manage a team motivation and engagement event
- Ability to measure and evaluate the success of engagement and motivational programmes
Occasionally it is necessary for courses to be cancelled or rescheduled by CLAST. The Course Administrator will send an email to advise you of the cancellation and, if possible, provide a new date for the course. We will endeavour to give at least 4 weeks’ notice prior to the course start date.
