Assessing competence in the workplace

This unit will introduce the learners to the theory and practice that underpins effective assessment of learning and work-based practice. Learners will leave the unit with sufficient knowledge, confidence and skills to assess learning and work-based knowledge, attitudes and skills effectively.
Online only – 12th November & 3rd December live webinar 4pm 2026. Additional teaching sessions will be arranged with the tutor.

- Apply the principles of effective competency assessment in the workplace to assess knowledge, skills or behaviours required by your organisation
- Review and quality assure the training process
Occasionally it is necessary for courses to be cancelled or rescheduled by CLAST. The Course Administrator will send an email to advise you of the cancellation and, if possible, provide a new date for the course. We will endeavour to give at least 4 weeks’ notice prior to the course start date.
